Tennessee authorities have confirmed the arrest of country music star Darius Rucker.
The frontman of the group Hootie and the Blowfish was booked Thursday in a Williamson County jail on misdemeanor drug possession charges, a spokesperson with the Williamson County Sheriff said.
He was charged with two counts of simple possession or casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of violation of Tennessee vehicle registration law, NBC reports.
It is unclear what drugs Rucker had in his possession or what led to his arrest. However, he was released from jail after posting a $10,500 bond.
Rucker’s attorney, Mark Puryear, said the singer is “fully cooperating with authorities related to the misdemeanor charges.”
