Hostess Brands announced earlier this month it is expanding its line of donuts by adding a caffeinated donut to its lineup. The Hostess Boost Jumbo Donettes will contain slightly less than a cup of coffee, the company said in a news release.Â
The single-serve caffeinated donuts will be available in two different flavors: Chocolate Mocha and Caramel Macchiato. They come with a suggested retail price of $2.49.
The Jumbo Donettes will be three times bigger than the company’s original mini donuts and contain 300 calories. A coffee bean extract is used to caffeinate the donuts. The company describes them as lightly glazed.
“For adults who are increasingly looking for alternative sources of caffeine, our new Hostess Boost Jumbo Donettes offer a tasty, energy-boosting, grab-and-go way to jumpstart the day,” general manager of Hostess Brands, LLC., Christopher Balach, said in the release.
The donuts will be available in convenience stores nationwide later this month.
