Fresh off the conclusion of The Last Dance documentary, chronicling Michael Jordan’s successful reign with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s, the NBA legend is still making headlines.
According to Bleacher Report, fans of the 6-time championship-winner will get the opportunity to visit an exact replica of his college dorm at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from the 1980s.
Graduate Hotels is putting together the ultimate fan experience with a “complete replica” of Jordan’s dorm room.
This won’t be the first time the space has been shown, as it was featured in a 1983 edition of Sports Illustrated, the outlet reports.
“The room is an identical replica,” the CEO of Graduate Hotels Ben Weprin told Kieran Darcy of ESPN in a statement. “From the ceiling to the brick wall, to the record player and records, the posters, the pennants—every single piece in that room, we have it.”
Not only will the room be completely identical, but it will also consist of Jordan memorabilia such as game-worn sneakers from 1983, his actual student ID card from when he attended the university as well as a $5 check he cashed following a successful game of pool.
“We thought it would be a fun way to pay homage to him,” Weprin continued. “It is like going back in time, trying to get in the head of Michael Jordan. He was a normal kid—even though he is an icon now.”
Jordan’s dorm room showcases just how much of a basketball fanatic he was as it featured CBS posters and posters of Marques Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and James Worthy.
Of course, like any dorm room, there was also a twin-sized bed.
Deemed The Jordan Suite, Room No. 23, will also give fans the option of staying in the room as well, ESPN reports.
