A young boy in Houston, Texas died after his mother mistakenly left him in a hot car for several hours.
For two to three hours, a 5-year-old boy was left inside a hot vehicle while his mother and sister were out running errands for his sister’s birthday party. One of the stops the family made was at a house. After two to three hours, the mother says she noticed the child wasn’t inside the home with them.
“She frantically ran outside and discovered the 5-year-old still buckled in his car seat,” said Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The child was found unresponsive. According to Fox News, the mother shared that the boy knew how to unbuckle his seat and exit the car. The car was described as a “loaner.”
There are no details on whether or not the mother will face charges.
