Andrew C. Sustaita Jr., a six-year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested earlier this week after he allegedly posted a video of himself engaged in a sexual act with a small dog. Sustaita had been the subject of an investigation managed by the sheriff’s high tech crime unit. He was relieved of his duties following his arrest.
According to ABC 13, investigators were tipped off about obscene material coming from an account in Harris County. The investigation led to Sustaita. He was arrested and charged obscenity, a state jail felony. He could face additional charges as the investigation continues.
“The possession of obscene and illicit material is made even more troubling when a sheriff’s office employee is found to be involved,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.
“Every resource of this office will be dedicated to protecting the public and holding our employees accountable for wrongdoing.”
Sustaita was released from jail on $5,000 bond. He is due back in court on January 17.
