Houston-based rapper Trae Tha Truth expressed his concerns and disapproval after a woman was robbed at gunpoint outside of her own home.
The woman was mugged on her front porch in southwest Houston, and the incident was captured on her security camera.
Houston police say Tonya Robertson Rogers was coming home from work early in the morning when a black car pulled up. The camera shows someone jumping out to grab Rogers’ belongings. The suspect also had a gun and demanded Rogers’ money.
She threw everything at the suspect, but the suspect still searched Rogers’ pockets before taking her purse and running back to the vehicle.
Rogers went and purchased a gun immediately after the attack, CW39 reported.
On his Instagram account, Trae took a picture with Rogers, saying, “I Made It To Her….. I Made Sure She know That Real Ones Don’t Stand By Or Approve What Happen To Her…. And Also Blessed Her.” In addition, the rapper shared a Gofundme to assist the victim.
