Houston Rockets’ Dwight Howard Fined $15,000

It was announced Monday that Houston Rockets’ Dwight Howard has been fined $15,000 for making contact above the shoulders with Clippers’ Matt Barnes during Game 4 in Los Angeles on Sunday. 

With 9:21 remaining in the first quarter, Matt Barnes tried to box out and cut off Dwight Howard, who was making a run to the rim. When Howard and Barnes collided, Howard took his elbow to Barnes’ head. You can watch the replay HERE. The two had another small run-in after Howard fouled Chris Paul as he went up for a rebound.  Walking by, Barnes says something to Dwight and Dwight shoves him. 

Dwight Howard received 6 fouls, 2 technicals, and was ejected from the game after he threw the ball at the feet of a referee.
