Houston’s Nightlife Ranks #8 in the World

We at Baller Alert, pride ourselves in being able to offer valuable, yet effective advice that will aid women (and some men) who crave the Ballerific Lifestyle and/or yearn to snag a Baller.  Luckily, many opportunities stem from just being in the right place at the right time, that’s why it’s important that we share material from National Geographic’s recent article that highlight’s the world’s top ten cities for nightlife.  Ballers are known for working hard and playing harder, so knowing WHERE to party is imperative.

According to National Geographic, only one American city produces parties/events that can compete with the rest of the world.  I’m sure you’re thinking it’s most likely New York, Miami, or Los Angeles, but surprisingly none of those are correct.  It’s Houston, Texas.  Houston is actually ranked #8 on the list following behind some of the world’s most renowned cities, including San Juan, Puerto Rico (#5), São Paulo, Brazil (#4), and Dublin, Ireland (#1).  In regards to Houston, National Geographic stated, “Take a vat of oil money, add pressed jeans and a toothy Texas grin, and you’ve got some mighty fine entertainment after sunset. Club-hopping along Washington Avenue is buzzy, unpretentious fun. The city isn’t all Stetson-and-spur cowpoke—there’s excellent theater and jazz for the artsy crowd, too.”

The criteria used to assess each city’s nightlife is unknown, but considering that many Ballers reside in H-Town, let alone spend their off season there, I’m not surprised.  Baller Alert has even acknowledged Houston’s Aristocrat Life (party promoters) for throwing some of the best parties in the country!  Ballers are always in attendance!  Many clubs in Houston, including the infamous VLIVE, are known internationally for a reason.  I guess the saying is true.  Everything really is bigger and better in Texas.
