Summer’s here, and it’s packed with parties, brunches, and concerts.
From Broccoli Fest and the Rise and Toast Brunch to Chris Brown concerts and Nicki Minaj shows, there’s so much happening. But if you’re adutling and stuck at work, FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) can hit hard. Here’s how to deal with it:
1. Plan Your Own Fun: Schedule some cool activities for your weekends or days off. It doesn’t have to be big.
2. Unplug Sometimes: Take a break from social media. Constantly seeing other people’s fun can make you feel worse. Live in the moment and enjoy what you’re doing. Don’t compare your life to others.
3. Appreciate the Small Stuff: Find joy in the little things. A great cup of coffee, a nice walk, self-care day, or reading a good book can make your day more special.
4. Stay Busy: Keep yourself busy with hobbies or projects. It’s easier to enjoy your own life when you’re engaged and doing things you love.
5. Connect with Friends: Spend time with friends and family when you can. It doesn’t have to be fancy; sometimes, a simple hangout, game night, dinner and a movie is all you need to feel connected.
6. Be Grateful: Focus on what you have rather than what you’re missing out on. Gratitude can shift your mindset and make you feel happier.
Remember, it’s okay not to be everywhere and do everything. Getting to the bag is also enjoyable. Just make sure you’re setting time aside to enjoy summer your way!
