Think about it, have you ever taken your phone in the bathroom with you? What about in the kitchen while cooking? As humans we learn to wash our hands during activities like this, but how often have you “washed” or cleaned your phone?
According to phonesoap.com, our cellphones carry 18 times more bacteria than a public restroom. Not only are the devices that we use most throughout the day completely filthy, but they also are a playground for germs to breed on. More than likely you keep your phone in small, dark planes like your pockets or purse when they’re are not in use. This tactic along with the warm batteries inside of cellphones allow for bacteria to multiply.
There are numerous ways that our phones can collect bacteria and spread it along to our bodies. Every time you touch an object or shake someone’s hand and then touch your screen, you’re spreading germs to your phone. Things get even worse when you put your phone to your ear to speak on it. You probably never considered your phone to be one of the possible sources to your acne, huh? Yea me either.
There are methods to cleaning your smart phone, and some companies are even developing systems to clean the device. Experts also suggest that you frequently remove the case or covering from your phone and clean underneath.
