Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, is gearing up to release his memoir “Beautiful Things.” He will reportedly speak very candidly about his battles with substance abuse.
According to Fox News, the book was kept under wraps even while the younger Biden’s business dealings continued to be the focus of a federal investigation.
The book was acquired in the fall of 2019 and is set to be released on April 6 through Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
“I come from a family forged by tragedies and bound by a remarkable, unbreakable love,” Hunter writes, according to a snippet released by the imprint.
“In his harrowing and compulsively readable memoir, Hunter Biden proves again that anybody — even the son of a United States President — can take a ride on the pink horse down nightmare alley,” legendary author Stephen King writes in a blurb for the book. “Biden remembers it all and tells it all with a bravery that is both heartbreaking and quite gorgeous. He starts with a question: Where’s Hunter? The answer is he’s in this book, the good, the bad, and the beautiful.”
Hunter, who turns 51 today, has made headlines throughout his life for his substance abuse struggles, his divorce from ex-wife Kathleen Buhle and his romance with his late brother’s widow, among other things.
