#HurricaneMatthew has single handedly claimed the lives of nearly 915 people since its initial impact in the #Caribbean. Although the deadly storm has since downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone, it still is causing severe damage along the United States coast.
According to #NYTimes, the storm’s death toll has increased to 15 across four states in the US. At least seven people were killed in #NorthCarolina, as the storm’s heavy rains lead to “record-breaking” flooding in the state. Four lives were claimed in #Florida, three in #Georiga, and one in #SouthCarolina.
Atlhough, Matthew seems to be weakening, its heavy rains and damaging winds will continue along coast for the next few days. According to reports, forecasters believe Matthew will die out in about 48 hours, which means it won’t be able to circle back and hit the coast against as previously reported.
