The Pittsburgh Steelers are scheduled to play the New York Giants this Sunday at the MetLife Stadium. I usually like to tell you ladies what hotels you can find the visiting team Ballers at but unfortunately the Pittsburgh Steelers have messed that up for me this weekend. Why, you ask? Because unfortunately due to Hurricane Sandy all hotels are either completely booked or without power and the hotel where the Steelers wouldbe staying is one of those without electricity.
The Steelers were to stay at the Westinin Jersey City but it still has no power. They are unable to find accommodations in New York.
So where does that leave the Steelers?
Mid Sunday morning they will fly out to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), have a pregame meal at a hotel near the airport and take a bus to the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Where will they sleep afterwords? Nowhere! They will be on a flight home to Pittsburgh after the game.
If you’d like to meet the Steelers for lunch or maybe offer up your home to a Baller or two, here is a list of hotels near the airport that they may possibly hit up.
- Crowne Plaza Newark Airport (901 Spring Street Elizabeth, NJ)
- Courtyard Newark Liberty International Airport (600 Routes 1 and 9 South Newark, NJ)
- Wyndham Garden Hotel Newark Airport (550 Route 1 South, Newark, NJ)
- Hilton Newark Airport (1170 Spring Street, Elizabeth, NJ)
