The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his former Defense Chief, and Hamas leader Ibrahim Al-Masri (also known as Mohammed Deif) for alleged war crimes.
These charges stem from the October 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas on Israel and Israel’s military response in Gaza.
Despite Israel rejecting the ICC’s jurisdiction, the court’s move reflects growing international pressure.
While Israel claims to have killed Al-Masri in an airstrike, Hamas hasn’t confirmed his death.
The case is part of a larger investigation into potential war crimes by both sides in the ongoing conflict.
