An Idaho father kills his neighboring family over allegations that the neighbor’s 18-year-old son had indecently exposed himself to the man’s children.
31-year-old Majorjon Kaylor is facing four counts of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting incident that occurred on Father’s Day.
According to an Idaho State Police detective affidavit, Kaylor fatally shot Kenneth Guardipee, his daughter Kenna Guardipee and her sons, Devin and Aiken Smith.
Kaylor and his wife Kaylie, informed investigators that they were deeply disturbed by an incident where Devin reportedly exposed himself in front of his bedroom window, within sight of their young daughters.
The alleged incident was reported to the police, and a report was promptly sent to the county prosecutor for potential criminal charges.
Additionally, Detective Justin Klitch says Kaylie told authorities that her husband previously warned them that if the exposure were to occur again, that he “was going to take care of it.” But Klitch took the statement as more like “beating someone up.”
On Sunday evening, a heated argument arose between the Kaylors and the Guardipee regarding the handling of the allegation.
Tragically, during this confrontation, Majorjon shot both adults near their front door and subsequently entered the Guardipee’s apartment to harm their two sons fatally.
Kaylor appeared in court on Tuesday and is currently being held without bond. He has not entered a plea at this time, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 3rd. While prosecutors have the option to pursue the death penalty, they are not required to disclose their intentions until 60 days after a plea has been entered.
