Idaho Murder Suspect May Not Fight Extradition, His Attorney Says He Will Prevail

Bryan Kohberger

Bryan Kohberger is accused of murdering four Idaho college students. But it seems he may not fight Idaho authorities’ plans to extradite him to their jurisdiction.

Not only that, both he and his attorney believe he will beat the charges, TMZ reported.

Jason LaBar is representing Kohberger for his extradition hearing. He told TMZ that his client would likely waive his right to be brought back to Idaho to appear in court.  If so, the suspect will get transported back to Latah County sometime this week.

He is expected to enter a plea. Apparently, Kohberger hasn’t denied or admitted to the charges he faces.

The attorney told the outlet that Kohberger and his parents are shocked by the allegations against him. The feds also raided his parent’s home in the wee hours of Friday morning.

Kohberger claims he wasn’t on the run.

LaBar says his client told him that he and his father drove a white Hyundai from Washington, where he attends college, to PA on Dec. 18.

Kohberger was close to the University of Idaho at the time of the four murders, pursuing a graduate’s degree in criminology at Washington State University.

If he is extradited, court proceedings will start, and prosecutors will have to disclose the evidence they have that links him to the crimes.

Word is the police have DNA evidence that puts him at the crime scene and a match on the Hyundai that was spotted in the area that night.
