Iggy Azalea and French Montana’s Brother Sued For $250,000 Over 2018 Car Accident

A man is suing Iggy Azalea and the brother of rapper French Montana for $250,000 in damages over a 2016 car accident.

According to court documents, a man named Jeffrey Linett sued Iggy and Ayoub Kharbouch, the younger brother of French Montana, in 2018, claiming that Azalea’s 2015 grey Jeep Wrangler struck him while he was rollerblading. He claimed that Kharbouch was behind the wheel of the car at the time. Linett said that neither he nor Azalea was paying attention when they “recklessly and carelessly” rolled into his path and collided with him. The lawsuit stated that Ayoub was “snap chatting” while driving the Jeep and blamed the crash on him being distracted.

Linett claimed that he suffered extreme physical and emotional damages and pricey medical bills. The original lawsuit sought an unspecified amount in damages due to the plaintiff’s unknown medical costs. Now that he has determined the extent of his injuries, which require further surgery, he’s demanding $250,000 to cover the cost.

According to newly filed court docs, “Plaintiff contends that the negligence of both Defendants resulted in serious injuries to plaintiff. Per the board-certified surgeon’s reports, plaintiff is a qualified candidate for ACDF, notwithstanding the previous less invasive treatment he has undergone (which has been extensive). Est. Future: $250,000.”

Iggy and French were reportedly dating at the time, and she was frequently seen hanging out with the “Unforgettable” rapper and his brother.

A judge has yet to rule in the case. Azalea has not commented on the lawsuit or the incident leading up to it.
