Just days after revealing that she was suicidal after being dragged on social media all last year, it appears Iggy is once again shaking the table.
On an episode of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” host Andy Cohen highlighted Nicki Minaj’s infamous BET Awards acceptance speech where she says, “If you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it.” He then asks Iggy if she believes that was a shot at her, and what she would say to critics who take issue with her not writing her own rhymes.
“I have just as many people on my writing credits as she has on hers,” answered Iggy. “I know I write mine, and if she writes hers, I believe her too. But you can’t look at the credits and be like, ‘Oh look at this massive difference!’ It’s the same number of people on both.”
When asked if she thought Nicki was directly taking shots at her, Iggy says, “I don’t know, I saw it on Twitter, I didn’t really think anything. Unless you say my name, I don’t really have time to speculate. Otherwise, I don’t really care. Let me know when somebody says my name.”
*Insert heavy sigh here*
For someone who just went on multiple interviews talking about how she felt cyber-bullied to the point of wanting to drive off of a cliff, why on earth would she reignite something with Nicki Minaj? At a time when she could have chosen the humble route, Iggy instead allowed herself to get hyped up and cocky when she should have let sleeping dogs lie. Keep in mind, they were playing a game of “I Plead The 5th,” so the option of not speaking was totally available.
