IHOP is turning up the heat with two new pancake creations inspired by the viral Dubai chocolate bars that took over TikTok earlier this year.
The Original Dubai Chocolate Pancakes are stacked with crunchy roasted kataifi (that’s shredded phyllo dough), rich pistachio cream, hazelnut spread, dark chocolate curls, and crushed pistachios. The Luxe Dubai Chocolate Pancake goes all-in with a full Dubai chocolate bar on top of buttermilk pancakes, Madagascar vanilla whipped cream, 24K edible gold flakes, and a shower of gold glitter.
Chef Art Carl, IHOP’s VP of culinary, revealed the concept came from a restaurant team member’s version that the test kitchen took to the next level.
“We took it up a notch in the test kitchen,” he said.
The pancakes drop Monday, August 4th in three cities: New York (235-237 E. 14th St.), LA (913 N San Fernando Blvd.), and Austin (707 E Cesar Chavez St.). The first 25 customers at each location get a Luxe pancake free. After the free batches are gone, guests can buy the Original for $13 while supplies last.
As Dubai chocolate takes over menus from Shake Shack to Trader Joe’s, IHOP’s limited stack brings that viral dessert energy right to the breakfast table.
