Iman Shumpert recently shared his thoughts on LeBron James‘ decision to join the Miami Heat in 2010.
Shumpert claimed James “ruined basketball,” when he took his talents to South Beach. During a recent sit-down with Bootleg Kev, Iman shared that he didn’t believe it was Kevin Durant who ruined the game by going to the Warriors, but it was LeBron when he left for Miami.
“Nah, it wasn’t K.D. (Kevin Durant),” Shumpert said. “It was Bron first going to Miami. Bron knows he ruined basketball. … Me personally, I love the NBA for the loyalty that I thought was there. He basically knocked the fourth wall down… He wasn’t supposed to do that.”
Shumpert added, “Great business move for sure, but when you think about it outside looking in, I got people tweeting me right now, they’re literally talking about owners and trades. It’s like, y’all not supposed to be talking about none of this, actually.”
LeBron and Iman were teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers and won a ring together during the 2015-2016 season.
