Kendrick Perkins of the Oklahoma City Thunder was booked into a Beaumont, Texas jail at 4am this morning for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Don’t cry for Kendrick because he wasn’t alone. Stephen Jackson of the Milwaukee Bucks was also arrested. Both have posted bond and since been released.
The two were in town for a basketball camp and celebrity basketball game that ended up being cancelled earlier this week. Perkins had a short stay in hospital this week with claims of dehydration and food poisoning. That didn’t stop the Thunder center from taking their Bentley on a joy ride through the hood. Details haven’t been released on what lead up to the arrest of Perkins and Jackson but rumors are swirling that they were involved in a bit of a scuffle.
