An Indiana mayor is coming clean about how what led to his car crash: “I accept full responsibility for my actions.”
During an interview with NBC News, a spokesperson for Fort Wayne, Indiana, mayor Tom Henry shared that Henry was in a vehicle crash this past Saturday. On Sunday, during a news conference, Henry opened up about the incident.
“I accept full responsibility for my actions,” he said, NBC News reports. “I am relieved that no one was hurt in the incident. I want to praise the men and women of the Fort Wayne Police Department who handled this situation with professionalism and followed all of the correct procedures and protocols. I am sorry that I put you in such a situation last evening as I can assure you that I know better.”
There are no details on whether or not he was given criminal charges, but he’s mentioned that he will move forward with the punishment he is given.
