Indiana Pacers Chris Copeland & His Wife Stabbed At 1 OAK In New York

Chris Copeland of the Indiana Pacers was stabbed in the stomach around 4am this morning following an altercation at 1OAK Nightclub in New York. His wife Katrine Saltara was slashed in the arm and leg during the fight while a second woman, 53 year old Catherine Somani also retained injuries to her abdomen.

Also on the scene were Atlanta Hawks players Pero Antić and Thabo Sefolosha, who were arrested for obstructing governmental administration after they refused to move when police tried to set up a crime scene. The attacker, 22 year old Shezoy Bleary,   was also arrested. He does not appear to have any NBA affiliation and it’s unclear what started the fight.

Copeland was in town with the Pacers who faced off against the New York Knicks earlier that night. The Atlanta Hawks take on the Brooklyn Nets tonight. Copeland and his wife were rushed to Bellevue Hospital and were in stable condition
