The Indianapolis Colts have removed their 2025 schedule release video following backlash over a segment that mocked Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill‘s 2024 traffic stop incident.
Released on May 14, the video featured a “Minecraft”-themed animation where a dolphin, labeled with Hill’s jersey number 10, is intercepted by a Coast Guard boat. This scene was interpreted as a reference to Hill’s detainment by police outside Hard Rock Stadium before a game in September 2024.
In response to the criticism, the Colts issued a statement: “We removed our schedule release video because it exceeded our rights with Microsoft and included an insensitive clip involving Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. We sincerely apologize to Microsoft and Tyreek.”
Hill, however, took the situation in stride, responding on social media: “Should’ve left it up @Colts, this was funny.”

The incident has sparked discussions about the appropriateness of using real-life events in promotional content. The Colts’ decision to remove the video underscores the importance of sensitivity in such materials.
The Colts are set to face the Dolphins in Week 1 of the NFL season.
