Inmates at a Baltimore jail have been accused of setting several fires in the jail, resulting in four people going to the hospital.
At around 7:40 p.m., firefighters from the Baltimore City Fire Department responded to the Maryland Reception, Diagnostic and Classification Center to fight ignited fires. NBC News reports. There were reportedly about five fires that were created.
According to the news outlet, three inmates and a correctional officer were sent to the hospital, and over 20 people were treated for smoke inhalation.
The Maryland State Fire Marshall looked into the fires, highlighting that the fires were started using clothing, paper products and a durable plastic food cart. The marshal’s office and the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Offic
