Instagram Influencer Alexis Sharkey’s cause of death has been revealed more than two months after her death. Her death has been ruled a homicide by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, and the cause was strangulation, E! reports.
In November, the 26-year-old influencers body was found naked by city workers alongside a Houston road. Days before she disappeared, she was reported missing after no-showing a movie date with friends. Her family grew concerned after Sharkey’s social media had gone dark for over 12 hours.
In an interview with KHOU11, her best friend Tanya Ricardo said, “I mean, just threw her on the side of the road, naked, like garbage. I just, I don’t get it.
“No one gets away with something like this. No one,” Ricardo added.
Alexis loved fashion and beauty, according to her social media posts. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband, Tom Sharkey.
The Houston Police Department asks anyone with knowledge about what may have happened to Sharkey to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
