Kat Von D had a terrifying experience on Saturday night. Authorities were called to her home because an intruder had broken in and wandered around her house as she and her son slept.
Police told TMZ that Kat and her son were asleep at around 10:15 PM when she was awakened by a beam of light moving about her house.
Kat acted quickly and took her 3-year-old outside the home and called 911. Police responded with their sirens blaring and searched the house, where they discovered a man in his 30’s upstairs.
Apparently, he was just walking around. It remains unclear if he knows it was the celebrity’s home or his intentions. He then told authorities that he was buying the house and needed to use the bathroom.
He was taken into custody and booked for burglary.
Police learned that he had jumped a fence to get in. But they don’t know if he came in through an open door or window because there were no signs of forced entry.
Kat’s $15 million home is on the market, so his story about buying the house may have been something he saw.
But still, it’s a little strange.
