Irv Gotti is denying recent sexual assault allegations and is considering filing a countersuit.
TMZ reports Gotti’s team responded to a civil lawsuit filed by Jane Doe in Miami-Dade County, calling the plaintiff’s actions questionable. According to Gotti’s rep, the suit came after Gotti refused to pay money the plaintiff allegedly demanded.
“The lawsuit contains a single page of ‘facts’ which are unsworn to, sparse by any measure, and which Mr. Gotti categorically denies,” the rep said.
The woman behind the lawsuit claims she dated Gotti for two years, during which he allegedly subjected her to a pattern of abuse. The suit details a January 2022 incident where Gotti allegedly forced a woman to perform oral sex in a Miami hotel elevator. Another incident reportedly occurred in an Uber in Atlanta that summer, which led to the end of their relationship.
The woman states that as a result of the abusive relationship, she suffered severe emotional and psychological harm, requiring hospitalization in a psychiatric ward.
“The allegations represent an affront to women who have truly suffered abuse. Mr. Gotti has been surrounded by strong women the entirety of his life – his mother, five sisters, and daughter. The top employees at his company are women. Mr. Gotti’s relationships with women have been characterized by mutual respect, honesty, and empathy. Mr. Gotti’s reputation has been placed at issue,” the Murder Inc. CEO’s rep stated.
Gotti reportedly plans to fight the “baseless claim” in court and is considering filing his own defamation lawsuit.
