Ahead of the release of his highly anticipated album, “Port of Miami II” Rick Ross chopped it up with Baller Alert to reveal what’s to come for the biggest Boss.
“I feel like this album – number 10, “Port of Miami II,” “Port of Miami” was, you know, my debut album,” Ross told Baller Alert. “It just meant so much to me, and I felt like for me to remain excited – take it to that next level, we had to trump that.”
As he continued, he opened up about his features, which include Pusha T and Lil Wayne – on the same song.
“What I did was, I put together a record, without either one of them knowing – because I feel like we will put this behind us one day. The real question is, is the time now? And it may not be the right time for that, we’ll have to see August 9th.”
Ross then addressed Meek Mill’s recent legal victory, in which his 2008 conviction was overturned.
“It feels great,” Ross said. “He texted me as soon as he put his case behind him. It’s been a long fight for him but everything happens at the right time. He put his case behind him. I hope that judge learned something from it. He just closed his new label deal, Dream Chasers, shoutout to Jay-Z for seeing the vision in my lil bro.”
“I’m happy just for the world getting to see what Maybach music is capable of producing,” Ross said, before he spilled the tea on the forthcoming “Coming To America” sequel.
When asked if the new film was being shot at his house, he said, “Man how’d you hear that,” adding, “I’ma be honest- I hope I don’t -It’s crazy man. Shout out to Eddie Murphy.”
“Shout Out to Eddie Murphy man,” he said.
