Island Boys Rapper Franky Venegas Arrested After Slapping & Pushing Girlfriend Into a Pool

Island Boys star Franky Venegas found himself in the slammer over the weekend after allegedly slapping his girlfriend and tossing her in a pool.

Venegas, who is one half of the music duo, is most widely known as Kodiyakredd. The 21-year-old, who is typically known for his social media antics with brother Alex Venegas aka Flyysoulja, went viral for a more sinister reason on Saturday. Per police docs obtained by TMZ, Kodiyakredd’s girlfriend told authorities that he slapped her and pushed her into the water at a Pompano Beach, Florida, home. The act of force caused the young woman to hit her chin on the pool’s concrete foundation. Responding officers who interviewed the woman at a local hospital confirmed the presence of bruises on her legs, arm, and chin. 

Kodiyakredd was arrested at the Airbnb where the assault took place. He was released on Sunday. The professional clout chaser immediately took to Instagram to update his one million followers on his arrest. Sharing his tattooed-clad mugshot, Kodiyakredd said the situation is “not what it seems.”

This is not the first time that Kodiyakredd has been accused of being an abuser. In January 2022, his girlfriend Montaisha Shanell shared an IG post, blasting the influencer for beating her daily. She warned other women wanting to be an “island girl” to reconsider. In other IG Live sessions, Shanell confirmed other instances of violence. In March 2022, he was charged with battery for beating his brother’s girlfriend for refusing to leave their home. Those charges were eventually dropped. 

Since the victim’s identity in this latest case has not been released, it’s unknown if Shanell had been harmed again at the hands of Kodiyakredd or if he took his anger out on a new spouse.
