It’s Levels to This: Not All Women Are Looking For a Meal Ticket

You can’t just lump everything and everyone into a single category. That’s completely ridiculous and impossible. Life is one massive gray area. If there is still a debate on whether a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable, how in the world can you categorize something as complex as other human beings into one category or another?

With that being said, let’s get to the subject at hand. Time and time again, this matter has ignited heated debates and I’m sure today will be no different… *drum roll please* …Women who require financial stability from a man! Seems that any woman who makes this a prerequisite is automatically branded with the new age Scarlet Letters  “GD”  for Gold Digger. Gold digger is such an extreme and narrow term. There is no way it can encompass us all. Now the branded ones do exist and are alive as well… but it’s levels to this sh*t. Let’s break this thing down a little so you fellas can relax a bit.

The Equilizer
This one seems to have it all together. Her mindset is centralized on her overall self-improvement – health, financial well-being, education… etc. She has a list of goals to accomplish and deadlines to achieve each one. She is completely open to a mate and would prefer one, but she will not be settling for just anyone. She’s not necessarily looking for 6 figures, but she needs you to be in the same stage in life as her and always hungry for more. Lazy Larry need not apply, as your application will be stamped with denial.

The Easy Breezy Bae
She’s a simple gal who enjoys the everyday pleasantries of life. She doesn’t need much – the glitz and glam has never really appealed to her. A quaint, cozy lifestyle with a white picket fence, 2.5 kids, and dog suites her just fine. Now just because she is easy going does not mean she is going to easily invite any man into her life. She has her standards and you need a job and a plan, but she is lenient when it comes to your economic placement… but you still need a placement, nonetheless.

The Lady of Tradition
Old Fashioned values still hold true to her. She wants her man to be the sole provider. In exchange for this change, she is willing and happy to be a “housewife” and handle all of the necessary duties that back your lifestyle. She will have dinner ready on time and take the utmost care of your juniors. Don’t get it twisted – just because she is traditional doesn’t mean she lacks ambition. She has honed her skills and is well equipped to fulfill her role. Taking care of the home is no easy task. So if you want this lady to be yours, be prepared to have your coins in order to assume all monetary obligations to balance out the fact that she is holding you down behind the scenes.

The Classic Gold Digger
And here she is. The highest level of money monger. This is the chick to watch out for. She’s the girl who targets you in the VIP and the money sack emjoji takes human form as she gazes at you from across the club. She’s done her research and already knows who you are. She has no intentions of caring about anything beyond what’s in your pockets and what will come out of them to benefit her. Contrary to popular belief, she’s a smart girl. She knows the game as well as, if not better, than you. She’s typically a beautiful enchantress complete with all the physical features your eyes desire. It’s no secret that men are weak to the flesh, so beware.

Every woman who takes the finances of a potential partner into account are not all coming from the same place. We aren’t all money hungry thieves just waiting for the opportunity to pilfer every dollar you possess. Some of us are looking for an equal. Some of us are looking for a provider. Some of us are simply looking for a man with a plan. So relax. Chill. Chillax if you must.  Just because money is a factor, doesn’t mean it’s THE factor. Being SO eager to holler “gold digger” is really just an easy defense mechanism to have on standby. Just in case something goes awry, you can then chalk it up to the fact that all women want is nickels and dimes anyway.

That is simply not the truth. We aren’t all looking for a meal ticket.
