There is a rumor floating around the internet – apparently, Ivanka Trump wants to run for the US Senate in Florida in 2022. Trump worked as an advisor for her father, President Donald Trump. If Trump decides to run, she would be challenging Marco Rubio for his seat.
“Ivanka definitely has political ambitions, no question about it. She wants to run for something, but that still needs to be figured out,” a source told CNN.
“Normally, you’d expect a credible candidate for US Senate to spend years building a political and finance network, but those normal rules would not apply to Ivanka,” Adam C. Smith, a consultant with Mercury Public Affairs, said. “I think she’d be an immediate frontrunner if she ran for US Senate against Rubio, given her father’s popularity in the Sunshine State.”
Trump and her husband Jared Kushner recently purchased a plot of land on Indian Creek Island near Miami Beach.
