Ivanka Trump has washed her hands with her father Donald Trump and says she is “no longer” advising him because she knows “how impossible he can be.”
According to a source, the eldest daughter of former President Donald Trump, has decided to step away from politics and instead prioritize spending time with her family in Florida. Despite Ivanka maintaining her distance, the source says there is no personal animosity between her and her father. In addition, the source also claimed Ivanka is staying clear of Trump’s legal issues as well.
“Even though Ivanka loves her dad, she knows how impossible he can be,” the source told PEOPLE magazine. “Donald does what he wants, and she can’t help him now. His help is in the hands of his lawyers and advisers. She is no longer working in that capacity.”
The source continued, “She basically wants a new life to compensate for what she lost when she spent four years in her father’s Washington. She misses her active social life and group of friends.”
Ivanka previously made it clear she was not getting involved with her father’s political business after he announced he was launching another presidential campaign.
“This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family,” she said in a statement after he announced his 2024 campaign. “I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena.”
During President Trump’s term from January 2017 to 2021, Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner acted as senior advisors. Ivanka concentrated on advancing women’s education and economic empowerment, in addition to promoting job creation, economic growth, workforce development, skills training, and entrepreneurship.
