Iyanna Mayweather also known as #YayaMayweather, daughter of famous boxer #FloydMayweather, is now seeking out representation in her current assault case.
After catching an aggravated assault charge due to allegedly stabbing her boyfriend Rapper #NBAYoungBoy’s baby mama, Yaya has now hired Kurt Schaffer to take on the case, according to Bossip.
Yaya faces up to 99 years in prison if found guilty on her recent felony charge.
However, the 19-year-old isn’t going down without a fight as her lawyer has a nice track record, most notably, for CEO of Rap-a-Lot Records, J. Prince’s 2007 case.
J. Prince was accused of ordering Ronnie Bookman to be jumped after Bookman refused to sell his ownership stake in a local recording studio in Houston, the outlet reports.
The case never went to trial due to Rap-A-Lot records saying Bookman admitted to committing perjury in a deposition from another $10 million civil suit targeted at J. Prince.
Aside from facing up to 99 years for assault with a deadly weapon, Yaya also faces a hefty $10,000 fine if convicted.
Schaffer exclusively told Bossip that Yaya plans to plead not guilty when her case heads to court in August.
