Ja Rule is speaking up after a heated airport moment turned into viral content.
The Queens rapper released a public apology on Thursday, February 12, days after a video showed him in a tense exchange with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda on a flight from San Francisco to New York. The clips quickly made their rounds online, capturing raised voices and a pillow toss that added fuel to the situation.
Addressing the backlash directly, Ja shared a message on Instagram taking accountability for how things played out.
“I’m not proud of my behavior; it’s goofy to me,” Ja wrote in the message shared on Instagram. “I’m a grown man about to be a grandfather and I wish that video of me wasn’t out there either. I don’t like people taking me out of my character, so for that I apologize to my wife, family, fans, business, and investment partners. I want people to know at the end of the day, I’m still a man, and I’m going to stand my ground. I don’t start trouble.”

The footage shows the longtime rivals exchanging sharp words shortly after boarding. In one clip, Ja appears visibly upset and throws a pillow toward Yayo.
“What we doing? Let’s shake,” Ja aggressively yells.
“You threw a pillow like a little b***h,” Yayo yells back. “F**k outta here.
Following the confrontation, Ja was removed from the aircraft and later boarded another flight.
While the moment sparked plenty of online commentary, Ja made it clear he regrets how he handled it and wants to move forward.
