Ja Rule is finally speaking on the story that Tasha K broke about him being jumped at a recent show. The rapper took to his platform to lay out exactly what happened backstage and why he feels the incident shows a much bigger issue in how hip-hop events are handled.
According to Ja Rule, the whole situation went down as he was walking to the stage. He says three men came from behind and swung on him, turning the moment into a chaotic scene. He makes it clear he’s not embarrassed and that anybody can get caught off guard, but he also stresses nobody deserves stripes for attacking someone from behind.
Ja Rule describes the melee as security, team members, and other artists tried to break things up. He mentions stumbling, people grabbing and pulling, and the entire area turning into confusion until the crowd finally dispersed. Once the dust settled, he left the venue with his team and considered the situation over.

But Ja Rule says there’s a bigger point to address. He called out what he sees as the difference in security and policing between hip-hop concerts and shows in other genres. He questioned whether assailants at a major rock or country event would ever be able to walk out of the building without being detained. For him, the way the situation was handled is another example of how Black artists and hip-hop culture are treated.
As Ja Rule’s explanation began circulating, Tasha K fired back online with a tweet directed at both him and TMZ, accusing them of doubting her story before admitting he was attacked from behind. She also called out the media coverage surrounding the situation and took more shots at Ja Rule for, in her words, having energy for her but not 50 Cent.
