Ja Rule has long been one of the most notable names in hip-hop, yet he feels that his talents are not being respected, especially by Billboard.
The “50 Greatest Rappers of All Time” list has caused quite a stir amongst hip-hop fans and artists alike. The list included Jay-Z at number one, Kendrick Lamar at number two, Nas at number three, Tupac at number four, and so on. While Ja’s longtime rival, 50 Cent, made the list in the 17th spot, Billboard did not acknowledge him.
On Thursday, the “Always on Time” MC slammed the list for getting it wrong.
“There ain’t 50 rappers dead, alive or waiting to be born better than me,” he wrote. “@billboard congrats to everyone on the list well deserved but check my resume.”
Some have taken issue with the artist placements as well, feeling as though certain artists shouldn’t have placed higher than others. Nicki Minaj came in at number 10, and many believed she also should have reached a higher position. Other artists, such as Jeezy and Foxy Brown, were absent from the list, also causing disappointment.
@billboard how you have a top 50 without @Jeezy on the list? Y’all are going to stop disrespecting Snow!

Ice Cube, who was ranked number 18, is not impressed with Billboard’s list, nor does he feel any type of honor by the inclusion.
“I don’t f**k with Billboard or the editor. Billboard ain’t hip-hop so their opinion don’t matter. So who gives a f**k?” he told TMZ.
Which artist deserved to be on Greatest Rappers of All Time that didn’t make it?
