The King of Pop will be played by a Jackson in an upcoming Michael Jackson biopic.
Jaafar Jackson, the nephew of the late Michael Jackson will be transforming into the King of Pop for the biopic Michael, which Antoine Fuqua will direct.
Jaafar is no stranger to an audience, as he is a singer and will now be honoring his uncle’s legacy on the big screen. On Monday, he tweeted about to opportunity.

“I’m humbled and honored to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans all over the world, I’ll see you soon,” he tweeted.
Jaafar is the son of Jermaine Jackson, who was a part of Jackson 5. Jaafar has been singing since he was 12 and has followed in his dad’s and uncle’s footsteps.
Producer Graham King announced the exciting news in a statement, “I met Jaafar over two years ago and was blown away by the way he organically personifies the spirit and personality of Michael.”
The biopic will be Jaafar’s acting debut.
“It was something so powerful that even after conducting a worldwide search, it was clear that he is the only person to take on this role.”
Michael is set to begin filming this year.
