Jack Harlow finally broke his silence about the fatal Kentucky nightclub shooting involving his DJ.
The rapper took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the incident that he was caught in the middle of over Derby weekend. A shooting involving his DJ, Ronnie Luciano, took place at the city’s Ultra Lounge where the rapper was also in attendance.
A woman, Kasmira Nash, was killed and another man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
A grand jury indicted Luciano on murder and tampering with evidence charges more than a week after the incident. The DJ turned himself in earlier this week.
Although Harlow remained silent as the incident and investigation unfolded, he eventually broke his silence in an Instagram story post about the shooting.
“My heart is broken by the events that occurred over Derby weekend,” Harlow said. “My heart breaks for Kasmira, her children, and everyone else touched by this tragic death. My heart breaks for my city, a place that’s been through too much pain already. I’ve been in touch with Kasmira’s family during this unimaginably painful time, and I’m grateful to them for keeping the lines of communication open.” He added, “Nothing can reverse what happened. Too many lives have been changed forever. My life will remain committed to making Louisville a better place.”
