Late last week, actress-comedienne Mo’Nique took to her Instagram to blast Netflix for allegedly being “gender-bias” and “color-bias”.
The 50-year-old stated that she was offered $500,000 to do a comedy special with the streaming network, which was significantly less than what #AmySchumer, #ChrisRock, and #DaveChapelle were offered.
While Schumer was presented a deal for $11 million (+ $2 million added), Rock and Chapelle each had $20 million on the table.
As a result, Mo’Nique sought to “boycott” Netflix, publicly asking everyone to stand with her for the protest, which has since gone viral and sparked a lot of mixed opinions—including fellow actress Jackée Harry.

The ‘227’ veteran revealed that she actually wishes that Mo’Nique would’ve “found a way to do [the special].”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“She’s really good. I miss seeing her do her thing. We need her back on television; she’s so good,” she says. “I wish she would’ve found a way to do [the special], and maybe get something on the back-end. Sometimes, you have to do things differently to get what you want,”

Harry then went on to mention #TiffanyHaddish, who just recently inked a deal with HBO.

“You see Tiffany Haddish got this deal with HBO, and she’s gonna blow it out the water. She’s been working for a while; she’s been around. If you work hard, eventually, things will come around. That’s just how it goes.”
