Following the massive fallout between Jordyn Woods and the Kardashian-Jenner family in February, Jada Pinkett-Smith gave Woods the opportunity to share her side of the scandalous story. But because of the close relationship she has with the 22-year-old model/actress, Jada was initially apprehensive about the interview.
During a London screening of ’Red Table Talk,’ Jada revealed what led to the sit-down. “To be honest with you, I was very wary because I didn’t think I could do her justice because I am so close to her and I’m so new,” she said. She turned to her husband #WillSmith for guidance. “I was like, ‘Will, she’s got one f–king shot. I can’t f**k this up. There has to be somebody else that can do this.'”
The episode was a major success in regards to viewership, but the show host admitted she struggled a bit throughout the taping. “I had to keep my heart in it because Jordyn is like a daughter to me,” Jada stated.
“I had to keep my heart in it that way, but then I also had to have an objective point of view. I had to be able to see from every angle and that was tough. It was a deep learning experience for me, especially the responsibility.”
The appearance ultimately worsened Jordyn’s already shaky relationship with the family but seemingly gave Jordyn the closure she needed to move forward and flourish in her career.
