In Atlanta, when dress code is strictly enforced, you better take it seriously. Jagged Edge members Brian and Brandon Casey had to find out the hard way, after getting the boot from Atlanta hot spot, Gold Room.
Producer and So So Def CEO, Jermaine Dupri, held a lavish birthday celebration at the Atlanta night club, inviting everyone from Usher to Lil Scrappy. Also in attendance were Brian and Brandon Casey, better known as the lead singers (twins) of Jagged Edge. The Gold Room’s host, Kenny Burns, told TMZ that the twins showed up extremely under dressed, wearing hoodies, jeans and Timbs. The event’s promoter Alex Gidewon (AG Entertainment) was willing to work with them if they agreed to remove their ball caps. They didn’t and were put out. JD reportedly got pissed and was put out as well.
According to Dupri, they were in the club for over 30 minutes without incident before being put out by police. “That’s the most disrespectful sh*t you can do to people who put on for the city” he posted to Instagram.
Gidewon also posted on Instagram, followed by Brandon Casey dropping a few choice words in his comment section.
Jagged Edge, who will be releasing JE Heartbreak 2 very soon, have since been banned from Gold Room. Considering the fact that AG Entertainment runs much of the Atlanta nightlife, it’s safe to say they won’t be having an album release party.
