Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather Get into Heated Altercation After Miami Heat Game [Video]

After Wednesday’s Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game, Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather got into an altercation outside Miami-Dade Arena.

Someone in Mayweather’s entourage recorded the incident on video, which was then sent to TMZ.

As seen in the video, Paul is being escorted by a lone security guard when Mayweather and his team approach him. “Are we going to bust him up, guys?” the person holding the camera asks.

Next, another member of Mayweather’s team asks, “Where you running, Jake?” Paul starts to retreat from the crowd and eventually turns and runs away from the situation as a few others briefly give chase as members of Mayweather’s team continue to yell after him.

“Look, he’s running! Jake Paul is the running champ! Why is he running?” the person holding the camera shouted.

The situation appears to have been defused by security and others nearby, with Mayweather walking away from Paul.

Paul addressed the situation on Instagram moments later, saying Mayweather and his staff had essentially ambushed him outside the arena.

“So I’m leaving the Miami Heat game, and Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere,” Paul said. “Out of some side alley waiting for me outside of the stadium. They’re like, ‘what’s up, what’s all that talk now!’

“I’m like, first of all, what did I say to you, Floyd? I just took your hat, and you’re still mad about it? Come on, bro. Then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me, trying to jump me. I’m out that b****.”

Sources close to Mayweather reportedly told TMZ that he didn’t want to jump Paul but instead just happened to run into him after the basketball game. The incident is said to have started over comments Paul made about Mayweather that went beyond the bounds of the customary fighters’ trash-talking.

As for Paul, he made no excuses for escaping a potentially volatile situation. He was outnumbered, with one member of Mayweather’s team repeatedly saying, “Let’s bust him up.”

Paul offered to fight Mayweather, who recently lost his first professional fight, but it won’t be in the street.

“Floyd, you want to run it one-on-one, no problem, but I’m not dumb,” Paul said. “I’m tough. I don’t need to prove my toughness, but I’m not f****** dumb. I’m not going to sit there and try to fight 50 dudes. Dipped out of that b****.

“Floyd, you’re an h* bro. You’re mad ’cause I took your f****** hat, are you serious? Get over it, bro. Move on.”
