Retired NBA Pro Jalen Rose and ESPN host Molly Qerim call it quits after three years of marriage.
Rose announced the split on Wednesday, though court records show that the couple filed for divorce in May. The sports analyst took to Twitter to release a statement regarding the separation.
“After being separated for almost a year, Molly and I have officially decided to go our separate ways,” the 48-year-old wrote. He asked for privacy as they navigated through their divorce proceedings.

Once known as ESPN’s power couple, Rose revealed in the court documents that their marriage was irreversibly damaged once his “First Take” wife relocated to Connecticut. Break-up rumors were swirling for several months this year after Qerim removed “Rose” from her name on social media. The couple has also not been photographed together in quite some time.
Nevertheless, the soon-to-be exes have remained amicable, with Qerim showing public support for Rose in June while speaking about the death of his mother in February.
The couple began dating in June 2016 and tied the knot in July 2018. There was no prenup signed, and neither party is seeking spousal support.
