After rumors began that Ellen DeGeneres could be ending her show amid accusations of hostile working conditions on set, Late Late Show host James Corden could be the top pick to replace the daytime talk show host.
The Sun cites “insiders” at NBC who see Corden as DeGeneres’ “long term successor,” an idea that was floated around pre-scandal and has only picked up momentum.
Last week, former employees spoke out about the toxic work environment on The Ellen DeGeneres show, claiming the host ignored racism, bullying, and sexual harassment on the set of the popular show.
Despite all the rumors, the Post reported on Saturday that Ellen will be back to work this month and has no intention of ending the show. The show is expected to resume on September 9.
