When it comes to basketball, the #NBAAwards are one of the most anticipated times of the season. This year’s awards had some pretty intense competition. People had high hopes for #LebronJames but a couple of other players received their flowers this year, including #JamesHarden who snagged the biggest award of the night.Harden beat out both ‘King James’ and Anthony Davis for his first NBA’s MVP Honor. #BenSimmons won Rookie Of The Year beating out his impressive opponents #DonovanMitchell and #JaysonTatum, which can technically count as a win for LeBron being that Simmons is considered the baller’s protégé. Defensive Player of the Year went to #RudyGobert and Most Improved Player went to #VictorOladipo. Sixth Man of the Year went to #LouWilliams, and last but not least, Coach of the Year surprisingly went to #DwaneCasey for coaching the Raptors, even after being fired from the team.

There have been mixed feelings about this year’s consensus, especially about the MVP Award but it came down to the stats. Harden averaged 30.4 points per game, with 8.8 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.8 steals. While LeBron averaged 27.5 points per game with 9.1 assists, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in his dominate 15th season.

Though it was a close call, all are amazing players who definitely earned their bragging rights this year.

How are we feeling about this year’s NBA Awards and Winners? Leave your comments below.
