Janet Jackson is currently in the middle of her highly successful ‘Unbreakable’ tour, which began last June, but she has been forced to postpone the next several shows due to a health scare. In a message to her fans that was sent out on Christmas Eve, Janet said that she had to postpone her tour until the spring because she needed to have surgery, and she asked everyone for their prayers. She did not reveal the nature of the surgery that she was having but she seemed optimistic that she would be ready to hit the road again in a few months.
It is now being reported that doctors found a tumor in Janet’s vocal chords and she has to have surgery immediately to remove it. They will also be running tests to see if the tumor is cancerous. Doctors fear that if the growth is indeed cancerous, it could possibly signal the end of Janet’s singing career.
This is the second time that Janet has experienced health issues during her ‘Unbreakable’ tour. A few months back, she had to postpone shows in October in order to rest her voice. We sincerely hope that the worst will be over once she undergoes the operation and that she can get back up on stage soon. Prayers up for Janet!
