Former Subway spokesperson, Jared Fogle, opened up in a personal letter from prison reflecting on his life decisions. The former spokesperson plead guilty in August 2015 to child pornography. The earliest he will be able to walk is March 24, 2029.
In a recent personal letter from prison, Fogle, is letting it all out. His deepest mistakes with his family and messing up his entire career.
The Indianapolis native career skyrocketed after he became Subway’s spokesperson. He weighed 425 lbs in college and claimed that eating Subway sandwiches and sticking to a daily walking routine shaved off 245 lbs in one year.
In the letter he says, “I really royally screwed up to wind up where I am. I was selfish and entitled.” The convicted pedophile plead guilty after 10 years of being a spokesperson for the popular sandwich brand.
The letter continues, “We don’t have a lot of control over our daily lives in prison but working out is one of the things I can control. I currently weigh 180 pounds. I try to avoid too much junk food. I snack on granola bars and protein bars. I feel really good physically and mentally.”
He talked about how he stays busy in prison. Apparently, he enjoys watching college and NFL football. He also reads The New York Times and enjoys historical books. Fogle tried reducing his 15-year sentence multiple times. He even pleaded for Trump to get him out of prison.
According to prosecutors, he solicited escorts to “provide him with access to minors as young as 14 to 15 years.” Once he is out of prison he will have to register as a sex offender.
His letter ends, “I very much look forward to re-starting my life and enjoying every moment with my family who have stood by and supported me. I’m so lucky to have them.”
