Jared Jeffries is an 11 year NBA vet who had several offers to return this season but had bigger plans in mind. The 31 year old former Knicks Baller aspires to be the youngest NBA Player turned General Manager and has decided to follow the paths of his good friends NY Knicks general manager Glen Grunwald and assistant GM Allan Houston. To begin the path to his new career, Jeffries has taken on an entry level pro personnel position with the Denver Nuggets in which he starts on September 26th.
Â
“I talk to Glen a lot, Allan, (Brooklyn Nets GM) Billy King,” Jeffries told Bleacher Report. “A lot of these guys that I’ve talked to in the past do what I wanted to do. I really got lucky, man, to have this situation come about, instead of just waiting out for the right (playing) situation. This a chance where I can be proactive my whole life.”
Â
Wayne Embry, who also was the first African-American NBA GM, is currently the youngest NBA player turned GM, becoming a GM at just 35 years old. Do you think Jared Jeffries can make it in time? He definitely is on the right track!

Congratulations Jared!
