Jason Momoa Allegedly Showed Up Drunk To ‘Aquaman 2’ Set

Jason Momoa Allegedly Showed Up Drunk To ‘Aquaman 2’ Set, Dressed Like Johnny Depp To Get Amber Heard Fired

Things got out of control on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, according to actress Amber Heard.

Documents written by Heard’s therapist, Dr. Dawn Hughes, allege a toxic work environment.

In one incident, Jason Momoa allegedly showed up on set drunk and dressed like Johnny Depp, Heard’s ex-husband, Variety reports.

“Jason said he wanted me fired,” the notes read. “Jason drunk — late on set. Dressing like Johnny. Has all the rings, too.”

The documents in question surfaced from Heard’s defamation trial against Depp, which took place in April 2022. A source close to Heard confirmed that the notes were taken during a therapy session on Dec. 27, 2021.

In response, a spokesperson for DC told the outlet that “Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”

Another source that was on the set while filming said, “Jason works his ass off, likes to have a beer once in a while like everyone, but doesn’t show up drunk to set,” adding that they saw the two stars joking around together while filming, Decider reports.

“And he isn’t dressing like Johnny Depp,” they continued. “He has always dressed in that bohemian style.”

However, Momoa wasn’t the only focus during the alleged therapy sessions. It was said that director James Wan “raised his voice” at Heard on set and almost fired her from the sequel.

“James is known for treating members of his cast and crew with the utmost respect and for fostering a positive, collaborative environment on set — the Aquaman films were no exception,” the DC spokesperson said of Wan.

The report also stated that Heard’s former flame Elon Musk allegedly had one of his litigators write and send a “scorched-earth letter to Warner Bros. threatening to burn the house down” if Heard wasn’t hired for the film after she was allegedly nearly left off because of “lack of chemistry” with Momoa. However, DC sources pushed back on that claim as well.
